During 2016 Adeline Dance continued their success with ISTD medallist examinations in social, amateur and professional grades in the ballroom, Latin American, sequence, disco, Argentine tango and rock’n’roll style of dance.

Using these achievements the children and several adults took part in local and national competitions including venues at Gosport, Wimborne and further afield travelling to Blackpool and the “Strictly” experience.

As well as activities for our keen dancers, our social pupils found their classes rewarding with complimentary comments made from fellow passengers on cruise ships and on holiday.

We held the annual professional workshop on the selected sequence dances used for the forthcoming sequence competitions and also in November we hosted an ISTD Sequence Event at the Piccadilly which was great fun.

Terry continued his work on the ISTD Sequence committee along with several examining and judging appointments.

We held several parties and fund raising events for the British Heart Foundation including a Christmas parade and at our Christmas party, the last minute replacement of a wonderful Grandma Claus caused great excitement and joy!

None of our events would have been possible without our dedicated team of helpers and qualified teachers and our special thanks go to Mary, Jackie, Sue and Melissa. We look forward to another year of fun and success in conjunction with St James Institute.
